Notice of Public Hearing
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Regional Superintendent #20 of Edwards, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Pope, Saline, Wabash, Wayne & White Counties, State of Illinois, will hold a public hearing at 12:30p.m. on the 27th day of February, 2024 at the Wabash Ohio Valley Special Education District, 800 S Division Street, Norris City IL.
The purpose of this meeting is to receive public comment on the issue of granting petitions filed on behalf of: Allendale District #17, Wabash District #348, Wayne City District#100, McLeansboro District#10, and Galatia District #1, requesting Opt-Out from the Summer Food Service Program in accordance with Public Act 096-0734, which requires schools offering summer school programs to serve breakfast and/or lunch unless exemption is granted.
