City of Carmi City Council met Feb. 6.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

1. Call to order by Mayor Pollard, Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.

2. Roll Call.

3. Approve January 16, 2024, Council Meeting Minutes.

4. For council consideration, discussion and possible approval:

a) Pay request: Brown & Roberts, Inc. Job 2023-073 DCEO PI Portion Water System Improvements C&O in the amount of $2081.60 (Paid from IEPA grant loan)

b) Ordinance 1615; An ordinance authorizing the City of Carmi of White County IL to borrow funds from the State of Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) water pollution control loan program.

c) Approve IEPA Water Pollution Loan Application for $680,000.

d) Ordinance 1616; An ordinance creating and establishing a fire department in the city of Carmi, Illinois repealing and replacing Ordinances 461, 506, and 1081.

e) Resolution 02.06.2024; Resolution to execute agreement with Brown & Roberts, Inc. Water System Improvements DCEO Rebuild Illinois Funded Portion.

f) Chief Jason Carter seeking permission to purchase a new Dodge Ram from Jansen Ford utilizing the state bid process.

g) Approval to seek sealed bids for the purchase of fuel for the City of Carmi/Carmi Light and Water.

h) White County Farm to Table to discuss special event licenses process.

5. Reports and/or updates from Mayor Pollard

6. Reports from Standing Committees.

7. Business or comments from visitors.

8. Possible closed session to discuss personnel and property issues with no action to follow.

9. Adjournment
