Applications for the Illinois Conservation Foundation’s 2024 Conservation Achievement Scholarship are due March 1st. The scholarship aims to encourage the next generation of leaders to preserve and enhance a sustainable outdoor environment, as stated on the ICF's website.
According to the ICF's website, up to four one-time scholarships of $2,000 each are awarded to outstanding high school seniors in Illinois who have shown dedication to the preservation, protection, enhancement, and promotion of Illinois’ natural resources. The scholarships, which have been awarded since 2005, are made possible by generous donations from various organizations and individuals. In total, $174,000 has been awarded to 85 scholarship winners.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be Illinois residents and seniors in an Illinois high school during the year of the scholarship award.
