City of McLeansboro Township Board met July 9.
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
The July 9th, 2024 Township board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Clydus Gray. Themeeting was held at the McLeansboro Township building. There were no public comments.
Minutes of the Previous Meeting
Minutes from the June 2024 meeting were read by the Clerk. As there were no corrections tobe made, a motion to approve the minutes, as written, was made by Kyle Ingramand secondedby Dennis Johnson. Motion carried.
Old Business:
Decennial Report: Supervisor Gray presented to the Board the proposed Decennial report that, when approved, will be sent to the Hamilton County Board. Contents of that report areas follows: The required form that presents an overview of the project, copies of minutes for three meetings that were held to discuss the report, a detailed demographic report for boththeCounty and Township and, details of both efficiencies and deficiencies of the Township’s operations. The last item was broken out in the report by Township, Road District andCemetery. After discussion, a motion to approve the report was made by Bob Brockett andseconded by Becky Cross. Motion carried.
New Business:
Cemetery Board Appointment: Due to the recent death of Cemetery Board member Wilton“Buddy” Badgett, a motion to appoint Fred Gunter to complete the unexpired termof Mr. Badgett was made by Kyle Ingram and seconded by Dennis Johnson. Motion carried. It shouldbe noted Mr. Gunter has been acting as a interim member of the Board since the time Mr. Badgett could no longer attend monthly Board meetings.
Established Annual Prevailing Wage Report: Upon review, a motion to approve the 2024Prevailing Wage Report was made by Becky Cross and Seconded by Bob Brockett. Motioncarried.
Miscellaneous:
Tree Removal - IOOF Cemetery: Eva Lynn Gray reported that a dead tree that had fallenover at the Odd Fellows Cemetery has been removed. It was determined the $4,000.00 cost of removing the tree was covered by the Township’s insurance policy and, a check for that amounthas been received.

Monthly Claims:
Road and Bridge Fund and Building and Equipment Fund claims were provided for review. Motion by Becky Cross and seconded by Dennis Johnson to pay those bills. Motioncarried.
Town Fund and Social Security Fund claims were also presented to the Board. Motionby BobBrockett and seconded by Kyle Ingram to pay those bills. Motion carried.
There being no further business to conduct, a motion to adjourn was made by Bob Brockett andseconded by Kyle Ingram. Motion carried
