City of Harrisburg City Council met July 18.

Public Hearing

Mayor Pro-tem Jonathan Brown called the meeting to order. Mayor Pro-tem Jonathan Brown presided over the meeting with Commissioners Raymond Gunning, Roger Angelly, and Rupert Johnson answering roll call. Mayor John McPeek was absent.

The public hearing was held to address questions, concerns, and comments regarding the Energy Transition Grant. Treasurer Alex Jackson discussed the grant. If awarded, the city will receive $279,450. The options agreed on were: tuck pointing City Hall, mural, and a family entertainment area on Vine Street. She will also be applying for rebuild downtown grant.

There was a discussion about the City Hall roof. City Treasurer Alex Jackson stated the roof is still under warranty, and she has reached out to the company. She stated the city is on the their list to come an inspect the roof. She would like to also install solar panels on the City Hall roof to help with the electricity expense.

There were no citizen comments.

Commissioner Raymond Gunning made the motion to adjourn. Seconded by Commissioner Rupert Johnson. A roll call vote was taken with all present voting yes. Motion carried.
