City of McLeansboro Township Board met Aug. 13.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

The August 13th, 2024 Township board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Clydus Gray. The meeting was held at the McLeansboro Township building. There were no publiccomments.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting

Minutes from the July 2024 meeting were read by the Clerk. As there were no corrections tobe made, a motion to approve the minutes, as written, was made by Bob Brockett andseconded by Kyle Ingram. Motion carried.

Old Business:

Decennial Report: Supervisor Gray indicated the Decennial report, discussed and approvedat the July Board meeting, has been submitted to the County Clerk’s office which will, in turn, bepresented to the County Board as required.

New Business:

Annual Audit: The three-person annual audit of the Township has now been completedunderthe supervision of Katrina Roberson. The individuals conducting the audit were Terry Drone, Justin Epperson and Sarah Hall. It is anticipated the results of that audit, along with the annual financial statement, will be presented to the Board at the September meeting.

Cemetery Board Update: Eva Lynn Gray provided the Board an report regarding the updatingof all cemetery records and the completion of new cemetery maps. Currently under discussionis a project to construct a twenty drawer map cabinet that will be permanently locatedat theTownship building. In addition, Eva Lynn stated the renewal of all required cemetery licensesisunder way.

Monthly Claims:

Road and Bridge Fund, Building and Equipment Fund and Permanent Road Fund claims wereprovided for review. Motion by Kyle Ingram and seconded by Dennis Johnson to pay thosebills. Motion carried.

Town Fund and Social Security Fund claims were also presented to the Board. Motionby BobBrockett and seconded by Kyle Ingram to pay those bills. Motion carried.

There being no further business to conduct, a motion to adjourn was made by Bob Brockett andseconded by Dennis Johnson. Motion carried
