Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie and House Republican Floor Leader State Representative Patrick Windhorst participated in a "Let's Talk Real Estate" event hosted by Illinois Realtors in Marion last week. The town hall-style meeting, held at The Diamond Club at Mountain Dew Park, aimed to provide local realtors with legislative updates and an opportunity to ask questions.

Rep. Windhorst expressed gratitude to Leader McCombie for including the town hall in her Southern Illinois tour and thanked Illinois Realtors for organizing the event.

“Leader McCombie made the effort to come to Southern Illinois to tour facilities, talk with local media, and reach out to our realtors community through an informational town hall,” Windhorst said. “I was honored to have her in our region, and pleased to spend a couple of hours with local realtors answering their questions and providing an update on the latest happenings in Springfield. We have a lot of work to do to improve access to affordable housing in our area. Events like these help legislators understand the obstacles to that goal as well as illuminate for us the challenging and ever-evolving industry that realtors are working in.”
