A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Grayville City Council in Illinois, seeking detailed information about its council members on October 15, 2024. The request was made by SE Illinois News, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
In the FOIA request, we asked for a list of all council members with specific details such as their names, titles, years of appointment, term lengths (2 or 4 years), and term expiry dates. The information was requested under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140.
