City of Carmi City Council met Nov. 4.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

1. Call to order by Mayor Pollard, Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.

2. Roll Call.

3. Approve October 15, 2024, Council Meeting Minutes.

4. Approval of October 22, 2024 Special Meeting Minutes.

5. For council consideration, discussion and possible approval:

A. Christmas bonuses for City employees and Light & Water employees (Previously given $60.00 plus $5.00 per year of longevity for full-time employees and a flat $60.00 for part-time employees and firemen).

B. Marshall Electric Invoice 21052 for $19,105.50 for generator installation – Payable from TIF 2.

C. Marshall Electric Invoice 21053 for $18,700.00 for generator installation – Payable from TIF 2.

D. White County Clerk & Recorder Invoice for $62.00 for filing of easement for Rosebud Project (Midwest Trucking) Payable from TIF 2.

E. O’Daniel Trucking Invoice C2410075 for $15,355.50 (Parking Lot by Post Office – Payable from TIF 2).

F. O’Daniel Trucking Invoice C2410016 for $19,820.00 (Parking Lot by Post Office – Payable from TIF 2)

G. Illinois Department of Transportation change order request for the Saunders/Meadow Project due to unsuitable subsoils beneath existing pavement.

H. Illinois Department of Transportation pay estimate to E.T. Simonds Construction Co. for Saunders/Meadow Project in the amount of $163,722.98 (Payable from MFT fund).

I. Discussion regarding Carmi Public Library Roof and possibly accepting bid.

J. Resolution 11.04.2024; A resolution authorizing the transfer of TIF Funds from TIF 1 to Tif 2 in the amount of $73,100.00.

K. Establishing salaries for elected officials of the City of Carmi who will assume office May 2, 2025.

L. Ordinance No.1640: An ordinance establishing salaries of the City of Carmi, Illinois officers to be elected at the next municipal election to be held on April 1, 2025.

6. Reports and/or updates from Mayor Pollard

7. Reports from Standing Committees.

8. Business or comments from visitors.

9. Possible closed Session to discuss personnel and property with no action to follow.

10. Adjournment
