City of McLeansboro Township Board met Oct. 8.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

On October 8th, 2024, the regular monthly meeting of the McLeansboro Township Boardwasheld at the local Township building. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Clydus Grayand there were no public comments.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting

As requested by the Supervisor, the minutes from the September 2024 meeting were readbythe Clerk. As no questions or corrections were made to those minutes, a motion to approvethem as written was made by Kyle Ingram and seconded by Bob Brockett. Motion carried.

Old Business:

There was no old business to discuss.

New Business:

Tax Levy Receipts: Supervisor Gray said the first two Tax levy payments, totaling $488,533.72, have been received. It is anticipated these payments will constitute the majority of funds allocated to the Township.

Salaries of Elected Officials: After discussion, the Supervisor made a motion to adopt thefollowing monthly salaries for Township elected officials. The proposed changes will beginfollowing the 2025 election: Supervisor - $13,100.00 plus $1,000.00 for Road and Bridgeoversight; Trustees - $1,525.00; Road Commissioner - $40,600.00 plus contributions intoaretirement account; Township Clerk - $4,400.00. That motion was seconded by Bob Brockett. Motion carried.

Transfers to the Road District: At the annual Town Meeting, a motion was approved totransfer a total of $250,000.00 from various Township accounts into selected Road District accounts. The transfers would be made as follows: $110,000.00 at the time of the annual meeting determined as follows: $100,000.00 from the Town Fund and $10,000.00 fromtheSocial Security Fund. In addition a transfer of an additional $140,000.00 would be madewhenthe first tax levy receipts are received. Those funds were to be drawn as follows: $110,000.00from the Town Fund, $20,000.00 from the Cemetery Fund and $10,000.00 fromthe Social Security Fund. As those monies are now available, the remaining amount due has been paid.

Monthly Claims: Road and Bridge Fund, Building and Permanent Road Fund claims werepresented for review. Motion by Kyle Ingram and seconded by Bob Brockett to pay thosebills. Motion carried.

Town Fund and Social Security Fund claims were also presented to the Board. Motionby BobBrockett and seconded by Kyle Ingram to also pay those bills. That motion also carried.

As there was no further business on the monthly agenda, a motion to adjourn was madebyBobBrockett and seconded by Kyle Ingram. Motion carried.
