State Representative Patrick Windhorst has revealed the winners of the annual Southern Illinois is Beautiful photo contest. The competition, which includes categories for both students and adults, highlighted exceptional photographic talent from across Illinois.
Windhorst announced the victors with enthusiasm, stating, “Congratulations to our winners in the 2024 Southern Illinois is Beautiful Photo Contest!” He continued by acknowledging the standout entries: “This year’s Student Category Winner is Carley Williams, for her submission of ‘Steps into the Unknown’. This year’s Adult Category winner is Elzbieta (Liz) Todd for her submission of ‘The Patch’.”
The contest drew submissions from many skilled photographers throughout Illinois. Windhorst expressed his pride in all participants and extended his gratitude and congratulations to the winners. The winning photographs will be displayed in his offices located in Harrisburg, West Frankfort, and at the Capitol.
