We aim to provide the public with accurate information about local law enforcement activities and hold public institutions accountable for their actions.
In light of our role in disseminating information to the public and promoting transparency in government affairs, we have also requested a fee waiver as a media professional under the provisions of the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.
We await a response from the Gallatin County Sheriff's office regarding this FOIA request.
