The Hamilton Memorial Foundation has announced the return of its Careers in Healthcare Scholarship program, aimed at assisting local high school seniors interested in pursuing careers in healthcare. The initiative acknowledges the difficulties rural communities encounter in accessing educational resources and is dedicated to fostering future healthcare professionals.

As in past years, the foundation will offer a minimum of one $1,000 scholarship to graduating seniors from Hamilton County Senior High, Norris City-Omaha-Enfield High School, and Carmi-White County High School. This year, the program has expanded to include at least one $1,000 award for homeschooled students in White County or Hamilton County.

Additionally, the foundation introduces a Continuing Education in Healthcare scholarship worth $500. This is available to previous recipients of the Careers in Healthcare Scholarship who wish to further their education in healthcare.

For further details or to apply, individuals are encouraged to contact their high school guidance counselor or reach out to Lindsay Hansen, Foundation Director, via email at LHansen@hmhospital.org or by phone at 618.643.5863. Applications can also be accessed online at hmhospital.org/foundation.
