City of McLeansboro Township Board met Jan. 14.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The January 14th, 2025 Township Board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Clydus Gray. The meeting was held at the McLeansboro Township building.

There were no public comments.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting

Minutes from the December 2024 Board meeting were read by the Clerk. As those minutes required no corrections, a motion to approve them as written, was made by Dennis Johnsonand seconded by Bob Brockett. Motion carried.

Old Business:

- The fourth installment of the Township’s portion of real estate taxes paid has been receivedand deposited. The payment amounted to $7,829.23 bringing total receipts to $526,943.31. While there is a possibility there may be minor additional payments, this total represents virtually all of the funds that will be received.

- Supervisor Gray noted that the items approved for disposal have been collected and arereadyto be taken care of. The disposal will be completed within the near future.

New Business:

- A discussion was held relating to the office printers that are either not working or, havesignificant issues. The discussion centered around the feasibility of having themrepairedversusthe purchase of new ones. It was mentioned that, at today’s prices, it would be more cost effective to simply purchase new machines.

Miscellaneous:

- On behalf of the Board, Clydus expressed sympathy to Becky Cross’s family on the loss of theirson and brother. The Supervisor also noted a thank you card had been received fromBobPrince’s family for the Cemetery Board’s donation to the Fox Meadows Assisted Living Facility.

Monthly Claims

- Road and Bridge Fund and Building and Equipment Fund claims were providedfor review. Motion by Becky Cross and seconded by Kyle Ingram to pay those bills. Motion carried.

- Town Fund and Social Security Fund claims were also presented to the Board. Motionby Bob Brockett and seconded by Dennis Johnson to pay those bills. Motion carried.

There being no further business to conduct, motion to adjourn was made by Becky Cross andseconded by Bob Brockett. Motion Carried.
