State Representative Patrick Windhorst of Metropolis participated in an interview on WJPF Morning Newswatch during House Committee Deadline Week. He expressed gratitude to Tom Miller for conducting a comprehensive discussion.

"I was glad to be on WJPF radio with Tom Miller yesterday. We discussed a wide variety of topics including the Governor’s misplaced priorities as he plans a statewide trip to criticize President Trump," Windhorst stated. He emphasized that Illinois has its own pressing issues that need attention, suggesting the Governor should prioritize state matters over national political interests.

Windhorst also highlighted his initiatives in public safety, referencing his role as the leader of the House Republican Truth in Public Safety working group. Additionally, he mentioned ongoing legislative activities, noting "several bad bills" under consideration in Springfield.

The conversation also touched upon recent public opposition to the Homeschool Act, which passed committee despite significant protests. Windhorst remarked on the turnout of thousands rallying against this legislation.

As House Committee Deadline Week continues, Windhorst anticipates more developments in the near future.
