Windhorst expressed his condolences for "the passing of our mutual friend, former Harrisburg Mayor Eric Gregg," extending sympathies to Gregg’s family and loved ones. He elaborated on various aspects of the budget, mentioning that they are "still learning about the $1 billion in tax hikes that are in the record spending plan."
During the interview, Windhorst highlighted two special funding items: a $100 million discretionary spending allocation for Governor Pritzker and an increased budget for the Illinois Attorney General related to ongoing legal actions against the Trump administration.
He also addressed concerns regarding "the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party of Illinois," criticizing their actions as both frustrating and insulting. According to Windhorst, these included "passing huge tax increases and spending bills in the middle of the night" following earlier criticisms directed at Republican Congress members.
