There were 23 Black students enrolled in Wayne County school districts in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data showed that Black students made up 1% of the 2,394 students in the county. They were the second least represented ethnicity.

Among the seven districts in Wayne County, Fairfield Public School District 112 recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 13 students.
