CALL TO ORDER
On October 14, 2025, at 6:34 p.m., Leah Conover called to order the regular meeting of the Community Unit School District 201 Board of Education.
Roll Call
Members Present: Leah Conover, Carlos Hevia, Kevin Marren, Jessica Radogno
Adina Conover entered the meeting at 6:46 p.m.
Members Absent: Alexandria Mil, Lauren Zekiri
Also present: Superintendent Jack Baldermann, Ron O’Connor, Assistant Superintendent of Finance and HR, and the Superintendent’s Administrative Assistant, Shannon Cossairt.
Pledge of Allegiance
President Conover led the Assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
September 23, 2025
Motion by Mr. Hevia, second by Mr. Marren, to approve the minutes of the September 23, 2025, regular meeting of the Board of Education, as presented.
Ayes: Conover, Hevia, Radogno, Marren
Nays: None.
Motion Carried.

Motion by Ms. Radogno, second by Mr. Marren, to approve the minutes of the closed session of the September 23, 2025, regular meeting of the Board of Education, as presented.

INFORMATION and DISCUSSION
1. State of Illinois FY 2025 School Maintenance Grant
Mr. Ron O’Connor, Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Human Resources, discussed the application for the State of Illinois Maintenance Grant. This is a matching grant of up to $50k. They are currently reviewing facility needs.
SUPERINTENDENT REPORT
Communication
Superintendent Baldermann is happy with all the preliminary designations for the schools. The designations will be officially announced at the end of October.
FOIA Request
Recent FOIA requests are attached in BoardDocs.
BOARD REPORTS
Mr. Marren would like to give a shout out to everyone for a successful homecoming and for an awesome band performance for the half-time show.
President Conover would like the Board to start preparing to review the Joint Annual Conference Sessions.

Dr. Hoover entered the meeting at 6:46 p.m.
Motion by Ms. Radogno, second by Mr. Marren, to enter closed session for the purpose of discussing specific employees, student discipline, purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, and potential litigation.
Ayes: Hoover, Radogno, Marren, Conover, Hevia
Nays: None
Motion carried.
The Board entered closed session at 6:47 p.m.
The Board returned to open session at 7:12 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Ms. Radogno, second by Mr. Marren, to adjourn the October 14, 2025, regular meeting of the Board of Education at 7:13 p.m.
