Gov. candidate Dabrowski on fundraiser in Dahlgren: 'About 1,000 people turned out to support their communities'

Ted Dabrowski, a gubernatorial candidate for Illinois, remarked on the community support and engagement demonstrated at the Rocking For A Cause event held at Rubenacker Farm. This statement was made during the concert in Dahlgren, Illinois.

"It was great to be right back in Southern Illinois last night to attend the Rubenacker Farm fundraiser - Rocking For a Cause," said Dabrowski. "About 1,000 people turned out to support their communities. I was glad to take part in the festivities."

Rocking For A Cause is a community-driven concert hosted at Rubenacker Farms in Dahlgren, Illinois. The event channels ticket sales and donations to local initiatives across Southern Illinois. Located at 19887 State Route 242, Dahlgren, IL 62828, the venue serves as a gathering point for regional philanthropy. Organizers emphasize the event’s mission of uniting music with charitable impact. Recent concerts have been held on the farm's grounds, with proceeds directed to area programs including health care and youth agriculture.

Dahlgren is a small village in Hamilton County, Illinois, with a population of approximately 500 residents according to the 2020 census. This underscores the significance of a 1,000-person turnout relative to its local size. Census profiles describe it as a compact one-square-mile community with a population near 504 and density above 600 per square mile according to the American Community Survey (ACS). Such large regional gatherings are particularly notable for civic engagement and fundraising visibility in Southern Illinois.
