Ted Dabrowski, a candidate for governor in Illinois, has said that residents of the state face significant property taxes and pledged to work towards reducing them. This statement was made during the Central Republican Committee of Hamilton County's MAGA Dinner held in McLeansboro on November 8, 2024.
"Punishing property taxes are Illinoisans' #1 concern no matter where I go," said Dabrowski, Gubernatorial candidate. "Hamilton County is no exception. Thanks to the Hamilton County GOP for allowing me to speak to their members. As governor, I'll fight to lower your highest-in-the-nation taxes."
The event took place at the Big Red Barn in McLeansboro, Illinois. According to the Republican County Chairmen’s Association event listing, doors opened at 5:30 p.m., with dinner commencing at 6 p.m. This setting provided Dabrowski an opportunity to address local GOP members and attendees about his campaign priorities.
Dabrowski has over thirty years of experience in international finance and domestic policy leadership. His career includes 16 years in senior financial roles, notably as Head of Corporate Banking at Citibank in Poland. In this role, he advised the government on economic liberalization and managed large Treasury portfolios in Poland and Mexico. Upon returning to the United States, Dabrowski served as Vice President of Policy at the Illinois Policy Institute and later became President of Wirepoints, a nonprofit organization focused on Illinois’ economy and government issues. His research has been recognized by national media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal. Dabrowski holds a master's degree in public policy from the University of Chicago, an MBA in finance from the Wharton School, and a bachelor's degree from Georgia Tech.
