Southern Illinois' Saluki Hall of Fame will grow by six members, the school said recently on its athletics website.
The 2017 class of inductees includes Gwen Berry from track and field, Hubie Dunn from gymnastics, Jason Frasor from baseball, Alexis Moreland from football, Bianca Stuart from track and field, and Ray Tabacchi from baseball.
Berry, an All-American in the hammer throw, weight throw and shot put at SIU, placed 14th in the hammer throw at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Dunn finished seventh in the nation on the parallel bars in 1942 and captained the 1943 team.
Frasor, who was the SIU team's most-valuable player in 1997 and 1999, had a 12-year Major League Baseball career that included being a member of the 2015 World Series champion Kansas City Royals.
Stuart was a two-time All-American and competed in the 2012 and 2016 Olympics for the Bahamas. She is the only four-time Missouri Valley Conference long-jump champion.
Moreland was a three-time All-American and a finalist in 2003 for the Buck Buchanan Award for the best Football Championship Subdivision defensive back.
Tabacchi earned a combined six letters in baseball, basketball and football from 1953-56 at SIU and was an All-Illinois Intercollegiate Athletic Conference baseball player his senior year. He played minor-league baseball in the Kansas City A's organization after graduation.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony is Jan. 27.
