Freeburg hosts golf outing July 8

Want a chance to tee off against other people in the Illinois area? Freeburg has you covered with a golf gathering for all ages this summer.

Freeburg Community High School has been hosting a summer golf outing for a number of years. This year's event on July 8 is is expected to attract a packed crowd. 

Registration runs from 10:30 a.m. until noon, when the silent auction begins and lunch is served. The official shotgun start kicks off at 1 p.m. 

The charge is $75 per golfer, which includes green fees, cart, and lunch. They also offer $75 to sponsor a hole and have your name displayed on the course. Forms are available on the Freeport website. 

More silent auctions and awards will follow golf, as well. Proceeds go to the Freeburg athletic department.
