Village of Freeburg Legal & Ordinance Committee met July 26.

The meeting of the Legal and Ordinance Committee was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Chairman Dean Pruetton Wednesday, July 26, 2017, in the Freeburg Municipal Center. Members attending were Chairman Dean Pruett, Trustee Denise Albers (absent), Trustee Ray Matchett, Trustee Lisa Meehling, Mayor Seth Speiser, Village Clerk Jerry Menard, Trustee Mike Blaies, Trustee Matt Trout, Zoning Administrator Gary Henning, Public Works Director John Tolan (absent), Village Attorney, Tom Zurliene, Village Administrator Tony Funderburg (absent) and Office Manager Julie Polson. Guests present: Janet Baechle.
A. Old Business:
1. Approval of June 28, 2017 Minutes: Trustee Lisa Meehling motioned to approve the June 28, 2O17 minutes and Trustee Ray Matchett seconded the motion. All voting yea, the motion carried.
2. Zoning Report/Nuisance Properties: Zoning Administrator Gary Henning reported the tall grass and weeds on N. State will be taken care of once the weather cools off. Trustee Trout asked about the welcome packets from Chamber, and Julie stated she does not know anything about this, Mayor Speier thought those were just for new businesses. Matt will check on this before we go further.
3. AZAVAR Audit Solutions: Julie advised we have come to an agreement with AZavar on the sales tax. They are not going to pursue that. They did find $280 in revenue, So We will be paying them a portion of that amount per the contract terms. This contract will be closed out.
4. IML Conference: Julie advised Tony recommended the new chief go in his place since he will be unable to attend.
B. New Business:
1. Mobilitie Contract: Tabled for further information and discussion.
2. Intergovernmental Agreement with Kaskaskia Valley Communications Consortium: Tabled for further information and discussion.
C. General Concerns: None.
D. Public Participation: None.
E. Adjourn: Trustee Lisa Meehling motioned to adjourn at 5:36 p.m. and Trustee Ray Matchett seconded the motion. All voting yea, the motion carried.
