City of Metropolis Finance Committee met Aug. 9.

There was no action on the tinting of windows at City Hall but the Committee was informed we have 2 quotes and will present them at the Monday, August 14th Council meeting. We are taking down the old vertical blinds that are not efficient at blocking sunlight and will choose a dark tint to help with this situation.
CFO Trisha Suttles went over the worksheet per line item asking for approval of each total presented. Chief Morris presented his list for the Metropolis Fire Department and Chief Masse thoroughly went over the items needed at the Metropolis Police Department. We will have another Finance meeting next week to continue hearing the needs for each Department Head and work on final approval of the budget.
