The Carterville Chamber of Commerce is hard at work putting the finishing touches on its Halloween Pumpkin Path outing.
The festivities kick off at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the First Baptist Church Parking lot. For the next three and half hours, kids from 6 months to 12 years old will be treated to an extravaganza featuring a costume parade and a Costume Contest Awards show.
The groups of youngsters will be separated based on age, and every business and facility from the First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust to the fire house is slated to participate in the night of fun.
Families and participants are asked to bring a canned good donation for the Carterville Food Pantry.
The evening will also feature the CHS Band, poms and cheerleaders, as well as the Memory Lane Music Service.
