City of Vienna City Council met October 11.

A Disciplinary Action Hearing Board met, Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Vienna City Hall with the following members and guest: :
Elected/Appointed Officials Present:
Cheryl Myrick, Alderwoman
Debbie Riddle, Alderman
Richard Owen, Alderman
Aleatha Wright, City Clerk
Josh Stratemeyer, City Attorney
Guests:
Jason Ashmore, Union Rep
Bruce White, Police Dept
Bobbi Baker, Police Dept
The meeting was called to order with the appointed board all present: Alderman Riddle, Myrick, and Owen. City Attorney Stratemeyer briefly went over meeting procedures.
At 5:02 p.m. Alderman Myrick made a motion to go into closed session as per 5ILCS 120/2(c) (1), Employment/Personnel. The motion was seconded by Alderman Riddle. Motion carried.
At 5:48 p.m. Alderman Owen made a motion to go out of Executive Session back into Regular Session. Alderman Myrick seconded the motion.
Brief discussion took place of the next step of action of the board would take with recommendation of disciplinary action to the full council at the next regular scheduled council meeting.
As there was no further business to discuss Alderman Owen made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Motion was seconded by Alderman Myrick. Motion carried.
