McLeansboro Township Board met January 9.

The January 9th, 2018 meeting of the Mcleansboro Township Board was called to order by Supervisor Clydus Gray. The meeting was held at the Township building located at 105 Carpenter Street in McLeansboro, Illinois.
There were no public comments.
Minutes of the Previous Meeting-
Minutes from the December 2017 meeting were read by the Clerk. There being no corrections, deletions or additions, a motion was made by Jamie Ellis and seconded by Kyle Ingram to approve the minutes as written. Motion carried.
Old Business-
- As discussed at the December meeting, the State of Illinois (under Public Act 100-
554) requires all local governments, including townships, to adopt an ordinance establishing a policy to prohibit sexual harassment. Supervisor Gray presented the board proposed ordinance, 2018-1, to fulfill that requirement. Also presented was a proposed Policy Prohibiting Sexual Harassment for each elected official to review and sign. After discussion, a motion to adopt the proposed ordinance was made by Dennis Johnson and seconded by Kyle Ingram. Motion carried. A copy of the ordinance and the established policy will be displayed at both the Township building as well as the Road Commissioner’s office. The last page of the approved policy was also signed and submitted by each individual.
New Business-
There was no new business to discuss.
Monthly Claims-
- Road and Bridge Fund, Building and Equipment Fund and Permanent Road Fund claims were presented for review. Motion by Becky Cross and seconded by Jamie Ellis to pay those bills. Motion carried.
- Town Fund and Social Security Fund claims were also presented for review. Motion by Kyle Ingram and seconded by Dennis Johnson to pay those bills. Motion carried.
There being no further business to conduct, motion to adjourn was made by Becky Cross and seconded by Kyle Ingram. Motion carried.
