The regular meeting of the Jasper School Board of Education was called to order by Board President
Blaine Norton and Derek Demaret taking the minutes, on February 15, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. with following
board members present:
Board Members Present: Blaine Norton, Chris Otey, Lachelle Thompson, Chris Barbre & Derek

Board Members Absent: Eric Gruen & Rennie Cates
A motion was made by Lachelle Thompson and seconded by Chris Barbre to accept a $10 donation from
Jackson Mills for his Eagle Scout project towards the purchase of two surplus scoreboards. The votes
were as follows:

The consent agenda, which includes minutes of previous regular board meeting, executive session, bills
and payrolls were then approved on a motion by Chris Otey and seconded by Chris Barbre. The votes

A motion was made by Lachelle Thompson and seconded by Chris Barbre to eliminate executive session
minutes from August 2015. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Chris Barbre and seconded by Chris Otey to set the eighth grade graduation on
May 10, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. The votes were as follows:

A motion made by Lachelle Thompson and seconded by Chris Barbre to re-employ the administrators for
FY 2018 as follows: Superintendent/Principal David Mills, Assistant Principal Cindy Ellis & Athletic
Director Eric Basnett. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Chris Barbre and seconded by Chris Otey to recognize the annual review of the

A motion was made by Lachelle Thompson and seconded by Chris Otey to accept the resignation of
