City of Albion City Council met February 26.

The Albion City Council met for a special council session on Feb 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the Albion City Hall. Mayor John Henze called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call: Council Members Present – Pat Hemming, Eric Eirikson, Kim Dostal, Eric Schmidt, and Jordan Hinkle arriving at 6:55pm
A motion by Schmidt and seconded by Hemming to approve the agenda. Motion passed 4-0.
Ken Fleege from RACOM explained to the Council and Mayor the process of installing city surveillance cameras.
Approval of installation 3-1 with Eirikson voting no.
Marty Wymore from Region Six opened the sealed bids for the asbestos removal and demolition of the ACC. There were 4 bidders for asbestos removal and 5 bidders for the demolition.
It was brought to the Council and Mayors attention that the tires on the roof of the ACC needed removed before the asbestos and demolition could begin. We will use community service hours to remove the tires. Need to know how many tires by 3/5/18 meeting.

A motion by Hemming and seconded by Schmidt to adjourn. Motion passed 5-0. Meeting adjourned at 7:35pm.
