Analysis: Eldorado pays $2.29 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Eldorado Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 69.6 percent of the $98,932 the Eldorado Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.29 for every $1 from pension members, according to a SE Illinois News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Eldorado contributed $68,873 to the fund, which saw a $5,236 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $30,058, or 30.4 percent, in 2016. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
