Fairfield Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on June 18.
Every month, Fairfield Memorial Hospital honors an employee who has demonstrated exceptional customer service and care.
Emily Bruce, who works in our Admitting Department, has been named the June Employee of the Month. Emily was nominated for her kindness and her willingness to help anyone in need. She is always pleasant and makes each day brighter with her smile. Emily is often mentioned in patient opinion surveys for her treatment of patients and their families during the registration process.
“As a Patient Access/Admitting Representative, Emily Bruce is exceptional at setting the stage for the patient experience. Her kind and caring demeanor is evident to all, whether she is registering patients at FMH Admitting or in the Emergency Department. Emily excels at building a strong rapport with patients and coworkers alike and we at Fairfield Memorial Hospital appreciate her positivity and compassion to our patients and community.” stated Kristin Boldt, Business Office Manager.
“Our Admitting staff are often the first person our patients come into contact with when they enter our facility. Emily greets each person with a smile and a willingness to help no matter what their need is. Coming into a hospital for testing or to be seen in the ER can be a scary prospect for patients and Emily goes above and beyond to try to ease their concerns with a gentleness and kindness.” stated Chief Executive Officer, Katherine Bunting-Williams, Ph.D.
