Carmi Police Department issued the following announcement on Nov. 21.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Chicago Police Department after the shooting death of one of their police officers and two other victims at Mercy Hospital today.
Rest peacefully Officer Samuel Jimenez, we will take the watch from here.
