Report: Allendale spent $9,081 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Allendale Community Consolidated School District 17 is up 30.2 percent from five years ago, according to a SE Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Wabash County school district spent $6,972 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,081 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 125 to 140.

Allendale's spending in 2017-18 was 31.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
