The campaign committee of state representative 102nd district candidate Jim Acklin, Citizens for Jim Acklin, returned a $425.80 contribution from Cynthia Acklin on June 28, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Acklin has not made any other contributions to Jim Acklin in the past 12 months.
