Wabash Community Unit School District 348 Board met March 21.

The Board of Education of Wabash Community Unit School District #348, Wabash County, met in Special Session on Thursday, March 21, 2019 in the District Office Conference Room.
President Schuler called the meeting to order at 7:03 a.m.
Secretary Janice Alka called the roll. In addition to the secretary, those present were Tim Schuler, Kyle Peach, Neil Earnest, Theresa Hocking, Jared Alka, and Ryan Peter. Also present were Superintendent Dr. Chuck Bleyer, Kale Calvert – ADG, and District Secretary Kim Zimmer.
Review Bids for Wall Repair Work at Mt. Carmel High School
Kale Calvert reviewed the two bids received:
Johannes Construction, Centralia, IL bid $162,000 and a 60 day completion time Kieffer Bros. Construction, Mt. Carmel, IL bid $198,100 and a 100 day completion time
Accept Bid for Work at Mt. Carmel High School
A motion was made by Jared Alka to accept the lower bid by Johannes Construction of $162,000. The bid was seconded by Peter. A roll call vote was taken. All present voted Aye. Motion Carried.
Peach moved to adjourn the meeting and Hocking seconded the motion. All present voted aye. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:05 a.m.
