Analysis: Fairfield pays $3.19 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Fairfield Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 76.1 percent of the $479,713 the Fairfield Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.19 for every $1 from pension members, according to a SE Illinois News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Fairfield contributed $365,236 to the fund, which saw a $30,632 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $114,477, or 23.9 percent, in 2018.
