City of Harrisburg City Council met June 22.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

The Harrisburg City Council met at 8:30 a.m. in the Council Room of City Hall, Harrisburg IL.

Mayor John McPeek called the meeting to order. Mayor John McPeek presided over the meeting with Commissioner Rupert Johnson and Ron Morse answering call. Commissioner Raymond Gunning and Roger Angelly were absent.

Mayor John McPeek asked Commissioner Rupert Johnson if he was going to present a plan for Harrisburg Lake. He would like to know what the fees will be. Commissioner Ron Morse stated since this money will be considered Capital Improvement, the council needs to know how you are going to get the water and how much it will cost. We need a plan.

Commissioner Rupert Johnson stated he was here today to present the agreement for just the electricity. At this time, there will be no water. There are going to be ten spots and three of those spots already have power to them. This is for the other seven spots. Each one of those poles (two poles) will service four spots. They are 200 amps on each pole. This will power seven spots. Commissioner Ron Morse asked if the power company has agreed to this. Commissioner Rupert Johnson stated that as soon as this is signed, it will be done tomorrow.

Commissioner Rupert Johnson made the motion to authorize the City Clerk to sign an agreement with Southeastern Illinois Electric Co-op for Harrisburg Lake in the amount of $3414.75 for the poles and $310.00 for 2-200 amp meter sockets. Seconded by Commissioner Ron Morse. A roll call vote was taken with all present voting yes. Motion carried.

Commissioner Ron Morse made the motion to adjourn. Seconded by Commissioner Rupert Johnson. A roll call vote was taken with all present voting yes. Motion carried.
