Q2 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Edwards County?

There were five offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2020 that live in Edwards County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows that four men and one woman were released in Edwards County. The median age of the parolees was 32. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2019, and the oldest was a 52-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Bryan P. Hensley. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2019 when he was 51 years old. He is now 52.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2020 in each Edwards County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
