Q2 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Saline County?

There were 12 offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2020 that live in Saline County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SE Illinois News.

The data shows that nine men and three women were released in Saline County. The median age of the parolees was 38. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2019, and the oldest was a 56-year-old woman sentenced for a property crime in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Ryan S. Small. He was convicted of homicide in 2011 when he was 30 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2020 in each Saline County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
