Mrs. Harrelson presented the Superintendent’s Report; We have heard positive feedback on our reopening. Open House is tentatively set for August 31st. Nicole Schoenborn from the health department is okay with moving forward with the open house but recommends limiting the number of parents inside the classrooms. Mrs. Harrelson asked the teachers in attendance for their input. Mrs. Pope prefers an earlier date for open house as her parent attendance is usually low in junior high when having a late open house. Mrs. Everett recommended splitting the open house into two separate blocks and having parents sign up for a time. Mrs. Smith is okay with either suggestion as she sends notes home anyway. PTO would like to sell concessions as a fundraiser during open house. It would be grab and go from the concession area in the lobby. Awning with a canopy entry estimate came in at a total cost of $219,000. ESSER 2 funds total $107,000 and ESSER 3 funds total $192,000. We will have to bid the project and bids could come in higher or lower. Board agreed to continue to provide free meals to staff. Maintenance Grants of $50,000 are coming available to apply for. Kerry suggests replacing the flat roof. The board agrees with the roof project and would like to replace with sloped metal. Enrollment is up to 193 as of today.
