Mrs. Harrelson presented the Superintendent’s Report. Preliminary IAR scores show our English & Language Arts scores down 5% this year. Math is also down but we should still be well above the state average. The additional COVID grant, Summer Learning Loss, can be used up until September 2024. Part of the grant must be spent on summer learning in which we had

a ukulele club and are purchasing library cards for our district families. The cooperative baseball with Geff mentioned last meeting is no longer an item since Geff is currently in a cooperative with Jasper school for one more year. School board conference registration is underway. Superintendent vacation will be June 2th through July 7th . A review of the current board goals show each goal met or maintained. The 5 Essentials Survey, which is given to our 4th through 8th grade students, teachers, and parents, showed only 24.4% participation from parents. We are Very Strong or Strong in all five areas surveyed. Registration is scheduled for July 18th.
