Darren Bailey, candidate for Illinois’ 12th Congressional District, is set to host a critical discussion on Second Amendment rights at an upcoming 2nd Amendment Town Hall. Scheduled for Dec. 27 at War Horse Christian School, the event aims to address urgent concerns for Illinois gun owners and delve into broader issues related to national gun legislation.

The town hall, which is expected to last one hour and thirty minutes, will tackle several significant topics that have been the center of discussions among gun rights advocates in the state. According to the event details, these topics include Illinois’ firearm registration deadline, legal challenges against the Illinois Gun Ban and National Gun Ban proposals from D.C. Democrats. The event promises a diverse panel of speakers such as Denton Aud, the White County State’s Attorney, and Chris Neal, the Assistant State’s Attorney from Hamilton County. White County Sheriff Jordan Weiss will also contribute his perspective on the challenges law enforcement faces in enforcing gun-related legislation.

War Horse Christian School is located at 215 Industrial Drive in Carmi.

Bailey's ties are deeply rooted in southern Illinois. A former state senator and now a 2022 GOP candidate, he was brought up on the Bailey Family Farm which he currently owns and operates with his sons. As stated on their business website, they manage Bailey Family Grain, Bailey Family Freight, and BNB Excavating - underlining their commitment to preserving a lasting legacy and living out their dream daily on the farm.
