Mrs. Harrelson presented the Superintendent’s Report. Zach Vaughan placed 2nd overall in the state hoop shoot contest in Springfield over the weekend. A smartboard training was held on-site at Friday’s school improvement day. There was one FOIA request this month from the Illinois Retired Teacher Association. This is a request we receive every year. We do not have any teachers retiring this school year. The benefit concert held at Sork Farms resulted in a $2,278 donation to New Hope. We have used the funds raised from them to help three families’ victim to house fires. New Hope is not a priority district for the electric bus grant again. We will start the process of selling the buses on our lot. With Noah West leaving this year, our technology needs will be changing for the upcoming school year. The transportation negotiation meeting with the high school is scheduled for February 26th at 6:00 P.M. Jeremy Vaughan and Tom Barton will attend. The quote received for the gym floor refinishing totaled $12,882. After discussion, we will use the Capital Projects fund to pay for the refinishing. Mrs. Harrelson will contact the company and request designs to be sent over.
