Mr. Fetcho: The playground committee made a decision on what equipment will be needed for Phase 1. The committee is working with Playground Boss. Many factors were taken into account in choosing which playset to choose: how many activities can the set include, how many students could be on it at a time, layout and fall height. The committee wants to have two types of play structures to accommodate ages 2-5 and 5-12. Equipment will cost approximately $45,000 + $20,000 installed (Playground Boss does not install). Funds will be used from potential grants Mr. Fetcho is working on portion of the Prek grant of $20,000, Herd donation of $10,000, Huck’s donation of $2500 will all go towards the project. Phase 2 of the project will be the material to cover the ground surface, which will roughly cost $12,000-13,000. This cost may be covered with TIF funds through the city. The board agreed to proceed with the purchase and installation of the equipment. The National Honor Society will be inducting three students on April 18 at 5:30 P.M. The FFA Banquet will be held on April 27th at 5:30 P.M.. Baccalaureate will be April 28 at 6:00 P.M. 8th Grade Graduation May 11 at 11:30 and Senior Graduation at 1:00 P.M.
