Illinois announces free fishing days for Father's Day weekend

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources has announced that the 2024 Illinois Free Fishing Days will take place from June 14 to June 17, coinciding with Father’s Day weekend.

According to the department, "During this four-day celebration of fishing in Illinois, anglers can fish without purchasing a fishing license, salmon stamp or inland trout stamp."
