John Warner Secretary | Hamilton Memorial Hospital
Hamilton Memorial Hospital District in McLeansboro, Illinois, has announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Victoria Woodrow, will step down from her position on July 24. Woodrow's departure follows a decade of significant contributions to the hospital and its community.
Throughout her tenure, Woodrow guided the hospital through notable growth and developments. Her leadership saw accomplishments in the quality of care and significant improvements in the hospital’s financial operations and infrastructure. Wayne Morris, Chair of the Board of Directors, stated, “Victoria has been a tireless advocate for our patients, staff, and community. Her commitment to excellence and her steady leadership have laid a strong foundation for the future of our hospital.”
To facilitate a smooth transition, the Board has appointed Chief Financial Officer Justin Epperson as the Interim CEO. Epperson, with substantial experience in the hospital's operations, will assume leadership responsibilities after Woodrow's departure.
Reflecting on her time at Hamilton Memorial, Woodrow expressed, “Serving as CEO of Hamilton Memorial has been one of the greatest honors of my career. This hospital and clinics, its staff, and the community we serve hold a special place in my heart. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together — from strengthening our financial position, navigating the pandemic, and improving the quality of care we provide. While this decision was not easy, I leave confident in the hospital’s future and the remarkable team that will carry the mission forward.”
The Board has initiated the search for a new permanent CEO and will update as the process unfolds.
