Windhorst criticizes Gov. Pritzker's stance on legislative map redrawing

State Representative Patrick Windhorst has criticized Illinois Governor JB Pritzker for his inconsistent stance on legislative district maps. Windhorst's comments came after Pritzker condemned Texas Republicans for their changes to legislative district boundaries.

Windhorst pointed out that during his initial gubernatorial campaign, Pritzker promised to veto any partisan-drawn maps. However, he later approved what Windhorst described as "the most gerrymandered maps in the nation," which were crafted by Democrats without public transparency.

"Just yesterday, the governor again signaled support for fair maps. Can the people of Illinois really trust him on this one? Actions speak louder than words, Governor,” said Windhorst.
