Windhorst honors injured soldiers and veterans on National Purple Heart Day

State Representative Patrick Windhorst expressed his gratitude to injured soldiers and veterans on National Purple Heart Day. In a statement, Windhorst said, “The Purple Heart is awarded to those wounded or killed in service to our nation. Today, we pause to reflect on their courage and sacrifice. Their lives and service to our nation will never be forgotten!”

Windhorst, a Republican, was elected in 2023 to the Illinois State House for the 117th District, succeeding Natalie Phelps Finnie.
