Edwards County Community Unit School District #1 Board of Education met Oct. 14.
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Edwards County K-12 Atelier by President, Dale Woods. The following members were present: Kayla Bell, Mark McDaniel, Jo Rector, Jayare Buerster, Lawrence Speir Jr. and Wayne Doelling. Also present was Superintendent, David Cowger; ECHS Principal, Dale Schmittler; and Building and Grounds Director, Kris Duncan.
ACCEPT BIDS
Motion was made by Mark McDaniel and seconded by Wayne Doelling to acknowledge AKRA Builders Inc. as the lowest bidders, reject AB-1 and accept AB-2 for a base bid price of $4,168,029 and an overall project cost of $4,613,930.
AB-1 was the addition of a canopy and AB-2 deleted 2 steel mezzanines used for storage.
McDaniel, Bell, Speir, Doelling, Rector, Buerster and Woods voted yes. Motion passes
ADJOURN MEETING
Motion was made by Mark McDaniel and seconded by Jayare Buerster that the meeting be adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
