White County Board met June 18.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

A reconvened June 7th meeting of the White County Board begun and holden this 18th day of June, 2018 in the Courtroom of the White County Courthouse in the City of Carmi.

Vice Chairman Puckett called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Clerk Dosher called the roll with McAnulty, Usery Trout and Puckett all present. Dosher was recorded as absent. Clerk Dozier stated that Chairman Dosher was at a meeting of all the County Board

Chairman in the Regional Office of Education Service area to appoint a replacement to fill the vacancy created by resignation of Larry Fillingam.

Clerk Dozier led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Vice Chairman Puckett stated that he had met with Dr. Saqib and he has no plans of retiring. He stated that he would like to continue being the Doctor for our facility and he has no plans of increasing the fee of $1,400.00 a month.

Mr. Ken Usery, stated that his daughter was an RN and would be a PA by January and she had looked through the contract that Doug Maier had presented to the Board for medical treatment for the City/County jail. She stated there was nothing in that contract that would be beneficial to the County. Denton Aud stated that the Board may want to table this matter until the Sheriff can address the Board at the July meeting. Mr. McAnulty made a motion to continue with the service provided by Dr. Saqib at a monthly rate of $1,400.00. Motion seconded by Usery. Motion passed 4-0-1on roll call vote with Dosher recorded as absent.

Mr. Usery made a motion to adjourn, seconded by McAnulty. Motion passed 4-0-1 with Dosher recorded as absent.
